My nearly 4 year old son literally stopped walking, he couldn't bear weight on his legs so I took him to Williamstown emergency as we were nearby. He had an ultrasound and the doctor said there was fluid in his hip and it would resolve with nurofen and rest but to come back in 3 days if he wasn't walking and/or had a fever or vomiting. 3 days later he still wasn't walking and had developed a fever so we went back. A different doctor said there was no mention of fluid in his hip in the notes, that he had tonsilitis and suggested he was faking not being able to walk. He was unbelievably blase about my son, aggresive and rude. A nurse in emergency said I should stop pushing him in a pram and force him to walk and insinuated I was making up the fact he couldn't walk and that he was spoiled and manipulating me! She was incredibly rude and snide. I took him straight to the Royal Children's and whilst a junior doctor had no idea what was wrong, the Consultant pediatrician took one look at him not bearing weight and diagnosed him with viral myositis, an inflammatory reaction post-virus sometimes seen in young boys around Spring-time. Long story short, if you are a parent, NEVER waste time at this hospital with its rude and incompetent staff. Their attitude and treatment of me was extremely distressing.

If i could do zero stars i would, We were referred to this hospital. The doctor was useless and did nothing.Triage and admin staff very friendly. But the doctor did nothing for me.

Came at 10:50pm with my partner who had a dislocated shoulder and the website says the hospital closes at 11:30. We show up at emergency and are turned away by security saying the hospital closes at 11pm. I have never had a positive experience at this terrible hospital. Definitely go anywhere else

Great Hospital ,friendly staff ,amazing Nurses ,good Doctors and has a country feel about it, highly recommend it.

Horrible place, rude staff, takes 15-20 min for someone to come after ringing for the nurse and people who work for medical equipment rental companies act like pushy car salesmen, threatening to keep your family member in that hospital if you don't rent equipment costing $1200 a month from them even after the patient repeatedly told them he doesn't want it and won't use it! Disgraceful place!
