This restaurant has been here for years & the standards & menu where excellent & Consistant. Who ever is running this place now should be ashamed. Theyve really let down the reputation of this long standing restaurant. The pizza we had yesterday had burnt cheese (if u could call it that) and Ive honestly had better quality out of a frozen Mcains box and the coffee quality has definitely changed as well. Its in a good location with a nice space. But the new owners have clearly cut a lot of corners on the food expecting customers will put up with it. We will absolutely not be back. Such a discredit to the original menue, standard & its very unfortunate.
Waited for almost an hour for our food, and it wasn't even busy! No apology or mention of the delay. Ordered gluten free pasta and what came out looked like porridge. The chef blamed it on the pasta. They didn't even bother offering us coffee or desert. This place used to be very good a couple of years ago but has plummeted in popularity since the new ownership. Way overpriced for what it is. Unfortunately, we will never go back!
Funny little place. Cosy during winter months im assuming
Very dissatisfied with the minestrone soup, barely any veges, filled with pasta. Also it's time to ditch the straws and not hand them out with every drink but have them by request. Usually food here is really good.
Cafe was only 1/3 full but told that theyd run out of mugs so I could only have a smaller coffee or a large in a takeaway cup. Coffees took so long to come out and were not nice coffees. My two vegetarian friends ordered a side of baked beans but when it came out it had ham through it (even though it did not state this on the menu). They were then told they could not make the baked beans without the ham in it. My bread was soggy. I had a hair on my meal. Taste of food was average. Our meals came out separately with a long gap between the first and the other two. When we paid and ordered two gingerbread to go, they only gave us one, and we needed to remind them we had ordered and payed for two. Will not be going back.
