I have made purchases from Myer Melbourne CBD (2 parcels on Boxing Day 2018 and another 2 parcels on 29/12/18) to be delivered by Australia Post to our East Melbourne appartment unit. Every time I received message from Australia Post to choose where the parcels are delivered, I have chosen someone will be home as my dad is always home and can pick them up from the driver but none of them have been delivered to my address and no notes have been left in our mail box. Then I got another text message right after the first message that the item has been delivered to East Melbourne post office! And finally the last parcel is left in Port Melbourne post office. I called and lodge 3 complaints (ref no: 22745410, 22745670) and the customer service told me that there were no parking each time and on my third attempt I ask the customer service person to get it transferred to our local post office too (22811826). Eventually I picked up 3 of my parcels from our local post office. On 11/1/19, I received an urgent note that we need to pick up the 4th parcel by 17/1/19 from Port Melbourne post office. But there is no way I can get there as its so far away and I paid for the parcel to be delivered at my door not to a random location! I called again today (15/1/18) to see why we received that note and told customer service that I need to lodge another complaint but she said I have no valid reasons and they believe what drivers say and post doesnt need to communicate with customers about their complaints lodged before and its an internal matter! She also said to put an online complaint as she cant help me and the last customer service didnt ask for transfer of my parcel to local post office so only today shes going to do it and it can take up to 3 days! As these items are all beauty products, if they are handled without care, they are going to spoil! So I am going to seek compensation from Australia Post, if this happens! This is going beyond joke as I get delivery from other courier companies and now being accused of lying. I am going to raise this matter to the ombudsman and will spread the word online.
I have waited a month for a 4-8 day $60 postage. I could have it sent and delivered on a slow ship quicker. I ran downstairs when hearing the buzzer ring as it immediately hung up. My local Australia post driver was there and said he witnessed the contractor for this hub/service pretend to attempt to deliver and walk out without leaving a slip. I have complained several times as they never leave slips (how am I to know if I receive a package I am not expecting?). The driver/contractor is a lazy, incompetent, pathological liar that claims I am not home and he cannot physically leave a slip. Complaints fall on deaf ears - they wont look at photos of my lobby with the letterboxes next to the buzzer or google the business in the lobby that means it is unlocked and accessible during business hours. They refuse to speak to my local postman that can verify the contractors actions.
This is the 2nd time in a week they pretended that they attempted delivery. There was always someone at home during those 2 delivery days. But none of us heard the bell. The worst ever. I'm shocked with all the bad response from people here, yet they still don't solve this problem. Whenever you can, try to find other courier.
Can't believe that they don't use common sense in delivery business and just end up creating more inconvenience for the customer. First of all, left an attempted delivery card in my post box without actually trying to deliver and then asked me to collect the parcel from a business hub on the other side of the city only during the business hours. Why would you not leave the parcel in my local post shop in the first place as it is easily accessible to me. If I had the opportunity to pick the parcel from a hub during business hours, I would have well drove to the vendor and purchased the product directly. Why pay you guys when getting the parcel delivered is so inconvenient.
Why the hell would you take my parcel back to the complete other side of the city, and only be available for pickup during business hours? If I wanted to pick my parcel up from somewhere I couldn't get to during business hours, I wouldn't have paid for delivery in the first place. You're part of Australia Post - next time, leave the parcel at my local post office
